Everyone seems to own an Apple device.  But with the release of the iPhone 5, some are wondering whether Apple will be on top for much longer.
The iPhone 5 managed to, once again, outsell the previous iPhones, and its’ competitors.  Clearly Apple is still the king of the phone business, but why?
“Being a new smartphone user,” digital communications and video production teacher Mr. King said. “The iPhone has made it very easy to like the transition.”
For most people, it seems that Apple is focused on the consumer and making a simple, easy to use device.  But there are those that disagree with this philosophy, and prefer other companies.
“I prefer Samsung because it’s a very powerful device,” junior Brad Fabrizi said. “It’s very powerful and it’s at a reasonable price.  I don’t understand why you would pay more for less.”
So some people enjoy the simplicity while others would rather have a more complex but powerful phone.  Some argue that Apple has kept the same basic design for each iPhone.  But why do people still come back for more?
“It’s so well known,” sophomore Austin Shaw said. “People will buy it just because it’s the ‘5’ and it has the Apple logo on it.”
Whether one hates or loves Apple, their success cannot be denied.  Some foresee that success ending soon.
“Anything,” Fabrizi said. “That’s invested in and has had a large profit over a short amount of time is bound to fall.”
Only time will tell what will come of Apple.  But for the time being, they remain one of the top companies in the world of technology.

Apple is Still the King
